Sally Magnusson is an award-winning journalist and broadcaster who has presented a wide range of programmes for the BBC from current affairs and politics to news and religion. She started her career on The Scotsman and presented Breakfast News in London for several years.
On television she currently anchors the daily news programme Reporting Scotland, presents Songs of Praise and reports from time to time on Panorama, where she has investigated the hospital infection c-difficile and the lending practices of banks.
On radio she presents the popular Radio 4 genealogy series Tracing Your Roots and a Sunday morning magazine show on Radio Scotland. She has written a number of books, including Family Life and Dreaming of Iceland. The latest is Life of Pee: The Story of How Urine Got Everywhere – which is also the theme of much of her entertaining public speaking. She is also in demand as a versatile conference chair and awards ceremony host.
